The tree saplings are watered and nurtured by students regularly. Nearly 20 percent of the trees planted over last five years have survived. The plants are distributed among the college students to develop a sense of responsibility towards the environment. The surviving plants have grown at a healthy rate. The students take a keen interest in these activities and have successfully planted trees around their homes and villages.
