Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR)

The Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) is a mandatory report submitted by institutions accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) to ensure quality assurance and enhancement. The report provides a detailed analysis of the institution's progress in key areas, such as curriculum development, teaching-learning, and evaluation, as well as institutional values and best practices.

The AQAR is typically prepared by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of the institution and is submitted to NAAC every year. The report is evaluated based on seven criteria, including:
- Curricular Aspects: Curriculum design and development, academic flexibility, and curriculum enrichment.
- Teaching-Learning and Evaluation: Student enrollment and profile, student-full-time teacher ratio, and examination and evaluation processes.
- Research, Consultancy and Extension: Research publications, research funding, and extension activities.
- Infrastructure and Learning Resources: Campus infrastructure, library and information resources, and physical education resources.
- Student Support and Progression: Student support services, student progression and placement, and alumni relations.
- Governance, Leadership and Management: Institutional vision and leadership, strategy development and deployment, and financial management.
- Institutional Values and Best Practices: Institutional values, best practices, and social responsibility.
By submitting the AQAR, institutions demonstrate their commitment to quality assurance and enhancement, and provide stakeholders with a comprehensive understanding of their strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement
